last January, we started the Little grassroots blog for children to discuss issues on climate change and environment. Children from Brooklyn, NY, Singapore, London and Fontainebleau (nearby Paris) shared their thoughts and made suggestions on what we could do to improve things. They wrote letters, read books, made posters, poems and songs, talked to their families and friends, did science projects and celebrated the Earth Day.
You can read their posts and see pictures of them and their work at http://littlegrassroots.typepad.com (The posts have also been cut and paste in the two following posts)
This year First graders at PS58, Brooklyn, NY will continue the conversation and post their thoughts and ideas on this blog. Some of last year first graders will also join them as well as Third graders - and hopefully children from other schools.
Looking forward to interesting discussions!
Happy New Year!
